CYCI #135 - School is Cool !!

Hello Blog land!
Fall is JUST around the corner...... can you feel it??
There is a certain change in the air, life begins to shift to a different gear from the summer schedules (or, NO schedules!) and school is on the horizon! Some kids have already begun their school year!
Parents are celebrating and likely, kids are not, haha!

So this week over at Can You Case It, we are focusing on Back to School! - School Pride.... and my project focused on the people who deserve a little thanks! Teachers!
 Can You Case It

Teachers rock! My project is a school season thank you as they begin the school year! My Easel card holds a Tim Hortons coffee gift card (Canadians know EXACTLY how much we all love our Timmies!)  and any student will get an A+ for this on the 1st day back to school!

Stamps (SU!) - Labeler Alphabet/Writing Notes/Sumthin' Sumthin'
CS: (SU!) Cherry Cobbler/Vanilla

Creative Corner Challenges-Layers of Bugaboo!

Hi everyone!
This week over at Creative Corner Challenges we are showcasing Bugaboo - and lovin' us some layers!

I coloured this awesome fall digi with my Zig Clean Color real brush markers! The watercolour background is simply SU!'s Pool Party ink and an Aqua Painter. And I used MFT Wonky Rectangles dies to add the "stitching" around my layers!

Join us and play along with our challenge this week!

Can You Case It #133 - Green/Yellow/Neutral Challenge

How is your weekend going? I am posting in advance, because as we speak, I am in Northern Manitoba, Canada on vacation! I am back home at my mom's...celebrating my hubby's 40th birthday, my dad's birthday (let's not mention THAT milestone...haha) and my uncle's birthday!! We have ALOT of Leos in our mix! I will post pics of our fab getaway later... but for now, it's time for another challenge over at Can You Case It!

 Can You Case It
Isn't this color combo sweet?
I used the following SU! supplies for my project:

CS: White/Crushed Curry/Old Olive
Ink: Daffodil Delight/Pear Pizzazz/Old Olive
Stamps: You've Got This/Gorgeous Grunge/Timeless Texture
Tools: Cuttlebug Embossing folder

I used a few embellishments from SU (washi and paperclip) and attached a brad from an old Bo Bunny collection....

I love the look of the splatter stamps... it gives the appearance of watercolour without the work!

So let's see what this inspires YOU to create - please play along with us over on the blog (click on the challenge picture above - it will take you to the link!) and post your project!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
And thanks for stopping in!

CCC-Not a Card Challenge!

Hello one and all! Its been a crazy week of wild weather here in my neck of the woods..... heat.... tornadoes....hail... wind..... I think we have had it all - no exaggeration! Its been sunny and hot, but today, as I prepare this post for Creative Corner Challenges, it looks like we are in for some rain. In fact, it was so gloomy I had to take my project "photoshoot" outside before the rains came to have some light!
This week over at Creative Corner Challenges we are featuring ANYTHING BUT a card!

Here is what I am featuring!

This cute little homemade gift is totally from the heart!
It is going to be a sweet little thank-you for a friend of mine who LOVES jam season - my secret recipe Strawberry Jam is in that jar... so this is a little "lovin' from my oven".

Supplies I used are:
Cardstock: SU Mint Maceron, Kraft, Whisper White
Tools: SU! Berry Basket die, MFT Tag Builder die, SU! 2" circle punch, heart punch
Stamp: SU!'s Hardwood, Num-Num, and Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits
Embellishment: Ric-rac and burlap ribbon (Micheals) misc clothespin
