Paper Craft Crew Sketch #275

It is Wednesday - and that means it is time to play with the Paper Craft Crew! We have another fantastic sketch for you for inspiration this week!  Here is what I created!

I flipped the sketch and decided to keep it simple! Here are some details!
Stamps: (Unity) Hearts Around the Globe, Love Brings You Home Ink: Stazon, (SU) Real Red, (Ranger Distress) Peacock Feathers (Ken Oliver) Colorburst in Lime Green Zig Real brush markers Paper: (Canson) Watercolor, (SU) Sending Love, Cupcakes & Carousels, Whisper White CS (K&Company) Tabs, (Basic Grey) Half Pearls
I used my Aqua pen very liberally over the colouring on my image just to add some subtle change to the colors.

You have a week to play along with us over at the Paper Craft Crew challenge!
Be sure to link up your designs!

Stamp Ink Paper #132- Cake Walk!

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am joining the Stamp Ink Paper team for another challenge! This one is going to be a piece of cake! (HA!)

I was trying to wrap my head around how I was going to pull off this challenge - as I am still waiting for my new, FUN stuff to arrive from Stampin Up.  It is taking FOREVER! (well, it feels like it!) So, I had to take to the internet and hit Pinterest for some inspiration, and I came up with a fun design I CASE'd!

I used one simple stamp from Unity's Happy Snail Mail kit, and the fussy-cut little candle I added is from Stampin' Up!'s Big News set. I hit my stash of dies from Reverse Confetti and Lil Inkers to create that cake - and my paper choices are from my scrap bin - as it it is overflowing and I hate to waste! I used a Blackberry Bliss cardstock base - I just LOVE purple and it is still one of my favourite SU colors ever (sadly, retired).  I added a few simple sequins to finish it off. Piece of cake - RIGHT?

Friends of Unity Blog Hop - January 2018

Welcome - and Happy 2018!!

The Friends of Unity are Blog Hopping again!

Did you arrive here from Crystal's Blog? If not... you  can go back and check it out here!
I will also have a list of all the Blog Hop participants the end of my post. But for now - check out what I designed for the Hop this month! Our theme is (who would've guessed) 😆...Winter.

I just ADORE this little penguin! The Unity set is called "Mittens in Winter"
and I colored this little fella with my Prismas on the Kraft paper, then added a we bit of ink sponged around the edge of the layer. It is one of my faves from Unity - and I hope you like it too!

We have some super cute projects again this month for you - so be sure to check everyone's inky goodness out - you may even spot our giveaway for the month on one of the blogs!

Next... you are on to Eileen's Blog  --- check it out here!
If you prefer to do your own thing and "hop around" - be my guest! 😁

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #274

Welcome! And Happy 2018!
This is my 1st blog post of the New Year - and it's super exciting, because it is my  debut post as a new Design Team member for the Paper Craft Crew!! I can't wait to play along with all of you!  If you are visiting my Blog for the 1st time - here is a little bit of "ME" Trivia!
I live in Southeastern Saskatchewan, Canada, in a small town - farming is the main industry here.... but my hardworking hubby works for the Town and is a Firefighter, and I work in an accounting office as a Bookkeeper! I am a mom to 2 pretty awesome adult kids and a little boy has my heart and calls me Grandma. I am pretty blessed :)  I have been consumed with this stamping and inky addiction for close to 10 years now. I do  have some fave companies to use - but I love it all!

Here is what I designed for you this week with our awesome sketch!

This sketch had so much opportunity to change things up!  Here are the details:

Stamp Ink Paper #130-Say No To Christmas!

Well, it has been a slice!
This is my final week as a Guest Designer for Stamp Ink Paper, and it has been a blast!  I want to thank Andrea for inviting me to join them for their weekly inspiration - everyone is so talented and the creativity is always top-notch! So thanks again!
Our final challenge of 2017 is a 2 week challenge - you will have extra time to play along with us! I think (most of us) will agree on the theme  - Say No To Christmas - because...quite frankly, some of us have been working on Christmas designs since September.  It is time for me to PUT. THE. SNOWFLAKES. AWAY.  😆

This encouraging card is actually SUPER-sized. ;)  I created it as a 5x7 card, in part because of the size of the sentiment and layers... and also because it is a custom card   especially for a group of people to sign and send on it's way for someone  in the fight of their life. 💪

Viva la Verve December 2017

I cannot believe that the year is almost over! I can honestly say I am happy to turn the page  and take on whatever 2018 has in store for us! Bring it ON!
I decided to play along with Viva la Verve's December sketch, as I have been enjoying all the wonderful digi's that Verve offered up a few weeks ago - I LOVE THEM ALL!  I had to create just one more design using one of  the sentiments from my favourite - Winter Peace.

I couldn't resist making another clear acetate card - they look like alot of fuss (but the hardest thing about them is trying to snap a quality photo) and the end result is always terrific.
Thanks for stopping by - and from our home to yours, may your Christmas season be filled with all the good stuff!

Stamp Ink Paper #129 - Red, Green & Gold

Hello everyone, and Happy Tuesday!

This week, I am playing along with the Stamp Ink Paper crew... I am a Guest Designer until the end of the month (...and.... the end of the year).... I will have just one more challenge before another Guest Designer appears!

This week, we have a color inspiration for you!

I grabbed a wonderful digi set from Verve to whip up this card in no time for our challenge this week!
Details: Stamp: (Verve) Digi - Winter Peace  Paper: (SU) Gold Foil, Whisper White CS, Cherry Cobbler CS, Garden Green CS Warmth & Cheer DSP  (SU) Holly Berry Punch, Holly Embossing Folder,  (MFT) In & Out Stitched Rectangles

I have always been a "purist" when it comes to card making - STAMP, INK.  But, I have to say, Verve has had some amazing digits featured and they are a great go-to  for a quick sentiment if you don't have something just right in your arsenal of rubber stamps :)
I hope you checked out all of the amazing inspiration from our Design Team  …
