Tall & Skinny Unity Girl Challenge

This week's Unity Show & Tell & Tell challenge is featuring the Unity Girls! Unity has an AMAZING selection of fantastic rubber stamps featuring women.... and I am quickly realizing I need them ALL!

I went with Harmony Girl for my challenge, and a "Tall & Skinny" card size of 3 1/2 x 8 in order to get every single inch of Harmony in there! I kinda like how she turned out!

 Products used:
Stamp: Harmony Girl (Unity Stamp Co.)
Ink: Versamark, Smoky Slate(SU!) Cardstock: Basic Black, White and vellum Embossing Powder: Hematite and Silver pearl (Stampendous) Liquid glass (raindrops) Misc: paper clip
I was pretty happy to go almost back & white especially with just the hint of red for her purse and boots. I used the Aqua painter and a splash of Cherry Cobbler ink from SU! for that.

Two Posts in One Day? Do I Need a Life?

Yes, you don't see me for weeks..or months... and then...BOOM.
Here I am twice in one day?
To my defence
 - I had to act fast, this challenge was going to be over soon, and I had to burn the afternoon oil! I jumped over to a challenge blog I have been meaning to try out since it started, and one an acquaintance of mine named Andrea Tracy-Tucker is a co-founder of. More on my kindred spirit Andrea later. :)

I really recommend you check out Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge if you want a fun and creative mixed bag of feature challenges. They have a fantastic design team!

This week's challenge was a Tic, Tac, Toe challenge! What's that, you ask?

Okay. Within reason.

You have to make a straight line - so...... for example I chose to go with "Gold - Sequins - Congrats"  for the win ;) .

I will admit... this card took WAAAAAY more time than I wanted it to. I had technical issues.
Technically I daydreamed and watched the snow falling outside.…

An "Eggstrordinary" Day

Things have been a bit topsy-turvy here in Amberland recently. But my one constant never lets me down. I set out to create some Easter cards for a customer as I had some older ones but I needed a couple more recent and "masculine" as she wanted to give them to her boys with their Easter gifts.
I will admit 2 things -  #1. Masculine is hard enough on its own, but #2? A boyish Easter card?

My Easter stamp selection is limited (hmm... maybe I am justifying a shopping experience here.) but  I worked with what I had... leaning on a vintage Close to My Heart stamp set I acquired many moons ago when I was still a demonstrator.... my tried and true Stampin Up! stash..... and my new love...Unity Stamp Co. (that bunny from an old Kit of the Month is super-cute!)

Not *really* boyish but I think I did ok!
Now.... on to the next challenges..............

Challenge Combo-CYCI-Unity

Today was a day to play! And I made the most of it, as I am going to be a very busy girl this week, leading up to Easter!

I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone today by combining 2 challenges into one! I joined the Unity colour combo challenge on Facebook  this week
and hit the Can You Case It blog challenge this week as well!

Here is my creation! I used a Unity stamp called Every Breath. I hope you enjoy this card!

Stampin Challenge

I was back to work today after having an amazing 3 day weekend with my hubby- it was much needed, and after working 8 days in a row...much deserved if I do say so myself! I have been working on a "personal challenge" that I placed on myself about a month ago that has been keeping me very busy.... I set out to send 40 cards to people within the 40 days for Lent.... and let me tell you...its been a challenge!

But I will tell you all about that tomorrow - right now, I have another challenge I completed; this one is for a swap on the Stampin' and Taggin' Place Facebook page.  The challenge this month was a colour challenge!

The colours were purples, greens and of course, white.

Here is what I came up with:

The sentiment I used is from Unity Stamp Company ( I ADORE THEM!) and they are becoming my new favourite go-to rubber stamps. They are top quality and amazing designs! Check them out!
All other products are Stampin Up! . I used the new Botanical set of stamps and dies…
