Girls Night Out with Stamp, Ink, Paper #124

Hello everyone!

For those of you who have never been over to my blog - welcome! My name is Amber and I am super excited to be a Guest Designer for Stamp, Ink Paper this month!

This week, we are celebrating Girls Night Out! Now who doesn't like the sound of that?!

Check out my project!

I was thrilled to make a lil "somethin-somethin" for gift exchange - this was PERFECT!
Here are the details:

Wine Tag:
Stamp: (Unity) Let's Get Sip Faced
Ink: (SU) Black Archival
Paper:(SU) Silver Foil, Basic Black CS, Shimmer CS
Ken Oliver Colorburst in Merlot
(SU) Tag thinlit die
Blackberry Bliss ribbon

This tag was a breeze with the die! I ran everything through my Big Shot, and then stamped by image with Black archival ink. I gave the paper just a very small blast of water and hit it with some of the Colorburst, blotting up a  bit of the excess.
I used my Tom Bow adhesive and moved on to my card!

Card:
Stamp: (Unity) Friends I Can't Forget
(SU) Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: (SU) Black Archival, Versamark, Blackberry Bliss
Paper: (SU) Moonlight DSP, Blackberry Bliss CS, Basic Black CS, Whisper White CS, Watercolor Paper,  Shimmer CS,  (Recollections) Silver Sparkle
Ken Oliver Colorburst in Merlot
Black Embossing Powder
(SU) Silver Thread

I stamped the random "splatter" spots on my card base using Blackberry Bliss, then set it aside to play with my Colorbursts again - this time I added a wee bit more water to some watercolored paper and pushed it around before dropping the Merlot powder.

Next, I stamped my image in Versamark AND Black Archival, in order to get a real crisp image. I had to work quickly as I used the Black embossing powder and heat set it. (This is the first time EVER the I got it right on the 1st try)  ;)

I then stamped my sentiment on the shimmery white cardstock and punched it out with SU's circle punch.
My black cardstock layer is a scalloped piece of scrap from a previous project - I couldn't let it go to waste. I adhered the Moonlight DSP to it and added a small strip of the silver glitter paper (another scrap rescued from the scrap bin!)
I added a bit of silver thread to my sentiment layer and used my Tom bow to fix everything to my cardstock base!

I hope this challenge inspires you to create something to give to a friend as a little pick-me-up!
Be sure to play along with us and link to the Blog!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to leave some love to let me know you were here!
See you next week!

Love, Peace n' Ink
Amber
