Friends of Unity Blog Hop - Abundant Blessings: With Sympathy
Hello!
I have a quick post today with the Friends of Unity Blog Hop!
The summer has been flying by here and the heat has finally reached us - I have been getting outside as much as I can - winters are long here!
This month's Blog Hop is a serious one, as this month we feature designs to share in sympathy.
It is always difficult to find the words to express condolences.... and sometimes a good friend just listens.
I designed these two very different cards this month... here is card number one.
I re-visted an old technique called "Joseph's Coat" using the Unity stamp set Love Never Leaves... it is such a fun technique layering gorgeous color peeking through! The sentiment from the Abundant Blessings (sept 2017 sentiment kit) is popped up and I layered it all on copper foil and a black cardstock base.
My next design is a slimline card, featuring the Unity set With Sympathy.
I just love the trees in this stamp set ....
Thanks for joining us this month ! Please be sure to hop over to Dawn's Blog! She has created something beautiful to show you!

Oh, I just love the Josephs Coat technique and hadn't thought of it in years. It makes a really unique design against your copper foil
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful Amber! I especially love that slimline card.
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful cards! I hadn't seen 'Josephs Coat' technique done in a while, just beautiful. Love the leaves and I'll have to remember this for fall cards. Just amazing! And your slimline card is so soft and lovely. Love those trees, sentiment, and hadn't seen that kit before. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever seen that Joseph's Coat technique but it looks beautiful! That card would work really well for fall, with the leaves.
