Where Is The Love?

Hi everyone!
This weekend I was BLESSED to be able to have 2 days of creativity and relaxation -devoting them to re-charge my batteries after a very emotional and difficult week.  We ALL have those times where it isn't just wished for - it is necessary. I am so grateful to have a hubby who encourages my crafty-time, and this weekend I accomplished ALOT!
I happened to discover that Verve Stamps has a FABULOUS (and FREE!!)  digital set available until Feb. 15th called Love From Me - and right now, more than ever, the WORLD needs more Love.

Go out and create Love. Make art. Share kindness. Scatter happiness.

CYCI #145

January is racing by, thank goodness! By this time in the winter I am usually "Shack Wacky", a term I use for explaining how craziness sets in from being cooped up after weeks of -20 to -30 degree temperatures. To sum it up: I live where the air hurts my face! We still have February ahead of us before things begin to look like they are warming up - so thank goodness for this hobby of mine! I retreat upstairs to my little studio and create, create, create!
This week over at Can You Case It, we are playing around with another awesome color combo for our challenge! Check out my card!

Isn't this color combo awesome? I simply heat embossed using white embossing powder and a stencil from SU on to some watercoloring paper. I needed a bit of "Silver" so I had some silver foil paper left from another project that was used along the edge - I hate to waste!  Next, I just dipped my trusty aqua painters into my Blackberry Bliss ink, and my Dapper Denim for a splas…

Atlantic Hearts # 194

Welcome back!
We are full-throttle into January and Christmas is LONG behind us - although, for some of us who celebrate by the Orthodox (Julian) calendar - our New Years has not quite arrived!  But the call of Christmas cards is over, so this week, over at Atlantic Hearts, I used our sketch to create a fun little Valentine!

I used the Paper Smooches stamp set called Uplifters for the sentiment - it is AWESOME for any occasion! The chevron washi is from We R Memory Keepers, and I literally just used a scrap piece of patterned paper for the layer of the sketch! Super easy!
I love seeing what you are creating with our sketches! Thanks for playing along with us! And thanks for stopping in!

January Savvy 7 Blog Hop

Welcome everyone!
This is our very first Savvy 7 Blog hop -  and my VERY FIRST EVER! I have never been a part of a hop but here I am!  This month, we are all about Snowflakes!

My design is a super simple birthday card using Simple Stories Winter Wonderland paper over an embossed white cardstock base. I needed to add something, so I ended up heat embossing that giant "snowflake" using Stampin' Up!'s Frosted Medallion stamp set! I chose to be subtle with the sentiment and stamp it on to a piece of vellum....and a few candy dots finished everything off. Since this card is for a "guy's guy", I chose to leave out any ribbon, or twine this time, and I kept this masculine.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out all of the stops along the hop! Love, Peace n Ink Amber xo

CYCI #144

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another challenge from Can You Case It! Doesn't it seem like FOREVER? Maybe it's because it was 3 whole weeks since we showcased a sketch for our bi-weekly challenge - to give everyone plenty of time to play along ...and to enjoy their holidays as well, of course! ;) This week, we have a super cute color combo for you to use to create something for CYCI!

I chose to break out my FSJ goodies again and use my Flock Together stamp set! I combined it with a sentiment from a Unity set I use ALL the time, called Day Made! I LOVE IT!
I used Smoky Slate ink for those feathers, but then needed my challenge colors - so I simply coloured a bit with my Zigs to add that watermelon/teal touch!
I also used some Versamark and heat embossed that sentiment in white, then added just a few Candy Dots to finish things off!
Feel free to say hello below and let me know you stopped by! Enjoy your New Years, and from our home to yours, we wish you all Peace, Health and Pr…

Seize the Birthday/Paper Craft Crew!

TGIF! This week feels like it went on FOREVER......! Maybe it's because it was that first week back after allllll those wonderful holidays - but by today, I was beat! But low and behold I was completely bombarded with new goodies in the mail - and I couldn't resist!

I used my new embossing plate from Papertrey Ink to add a bit of texture to my CS. I just LOVE the new Hey Chick stamp set from the new Salebrations catalog from SU! It just went live to customers on Jan 4th! Isn't it adorable? And I dug into the vault for the patterned paper -its from It's My Party DSP collection from Stampin Up!
I have been WAITING to play along with some new challenges in 2017 - it is a "resolution" I made! Paper Craft Crew's sketch this week was perfect! This week I also played along with Seize The Birthday - this card is going to one of my best "Chicks"!
Go check out Paper Craft Crew!

Mojo Monday #478 - With You

I LOVE love. Maybe I am a closet romantic (ok, I will admit it now.) ...but I LOVE making Valentines.  This week Mojo Monday  has a great sketch and  I decided to play with some of the Stampin Up! goodies from the new Occasions Catalog - here is a sneak peek!

Beginning January 4th, you can get your hands on the SU! stamp set I used, called So In Love. The DSP is also featured in the Occasions Catalog - the paper pack is Sending Love.  It's fabulous!  I also used a super cute die from Essentials by Tattered Lace, called Tuck in Hearts. And finally, for a bit of bling I added some silver cording trim from SU! and a few candy dots!

Thanks for stopping by! Peace, Love n' Ink Amber xo
