Stamp Ink Paper #146-Food & Drink!

Image
Hey y'all - this challenge was my fave... I love food... and drinks.  I love WINE!
And this week the Stamp Ink Paper challenge hits near and dear to my heart.
I am diggin' the vino!

This FUN easel card was created using SU!'s "Half Full" stamp set... and oooohhh baby... I love a wine glass that is half full. Or just full.  Whatever.
I inked it up and created layers with SU cardstock in Fresh Fig, Basic Black, and the Woodgrain DSP... and I colored this with (for shame...) Spectrum Noir markers..BUT! ..in my defence my SU blends were out on loan to a crafty cohort - she was needing some ink therapy and I will ALWAYS enable!
That cool little brick-like texture was a bit of the embossing paste with a smudge of Very Vanilla ink in it, and I used a Tim Holtz stencil for that! Love it! And finally I gave this beauty a blast of sparkle with some Nuvo Mica Mist in Antique Gold. Seriously.... I need more of these because they remind me of Tattered Angels mists of long ag…

Stamp Ink Paper-Ombre Challenge!

Image
April is INSANE! Income tax season is in full swing and it is crunch time! I feel like  I am standing in one spot running in circles with my one foot stapled to the floor! AAHHHH!
I NEED crafty time! It is my therapy... my solace... I decompress best when I get to hide up in my studio - so this week I pulled EVERY ounce out  of the spare minutes I had to get my DT commitments completed!
The Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week is all about OMBRE!

I LOVE this look! And I had so much fun with this challenge!

Details:
I  sponged Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon (Naturally!)  and Chipped Sapphire! I also added a bit of Distress Oxide Ink  in Cracked Pistachio and gave this layer a blast of sprayed water!
The stamp set I used is called Magical Day from Stampin Up! That little mermaid was colored with my Zig markers - a slight sparkle is added with my Wink of Stella!
Those vellum "bubbles" have tiny little holes cut with the matching framelits for the …

Friends of Unity Blog Hop-April Showers!

Image
Happy Saturday! And hello Unity Fans! If this is your first time visiting my blog - welcome! I am so happy to be back with another Blog Hop with the Friends of Unity! We have been sharing our love of Unity each month by creating designs  using that red rubber goodness ! We have a blast!
I am kicking off this month's Hop -  our theme is "Showers" (April after all is full of spring showers - and more.. a snowstorm now and then is even a possibility!)
This inspired me to design a card for a BABY shower! (It is perfect to give as a gift for a new little someone!)  Check it out!

I feel like I kinda "cheated" because I used an Itty Bitty from Unity, called Bundle Congrats! I always use kits, but this time - this little stamp called out to me! It was perfect for a sweet little baby card! You should REALLY check out the Itty Bitty's from Unity - they are SO affordable and when they are on sale they are practically a steal!  You can find the one I used HERE

Inspired By - Rainy Day Coziness

Image
April is a fickle month - the weather is so unpredictable in my part of the country. There have been years when rains were already beginning  but ... this week we are still suffering through winter temperatures. It was -26C  the other morning! When will this madness end??

Our cue card inspires WARMTH... those moody blues are perfect for creating something calming and soothing - an encouragement card was the way to go!

I chose a thoughtful little Stampin up bundle this week called Weather Together... the stamp set and the dies CAN be purchased separately - which is great if you don't think you would need one or the other - but WHO WOULDN'T want both?

The dies are so versatile for making your umbrella fit ANY color scheme! I literally grabbed a Project Life card from my stash and

some scrap paper that was still on my craft table to make this sweet little umbrella! My Whisper White cardstock base was run through my Big Shot with an embossing folder I picked up when I first …

Stamp Ink Paper #144-Birthday!

Image
Welcome back and Happy Tuesday!
I hope your week is chugging along!

This week's  Stamp Ink Paper challenge is an easy one - Birthdays! Who doesn't love a little birthday love now and then? Social media has made it easier to remember someone's special day - but alot of people just don't take the time to send a card to their fave peeps anymore! That's SAD!  So - this challenge, take that special creation and give it to them - make someone's day!
This card I created is clean and simple, but it packs a PUNCH of color!

I decided to go with my Stampin Up supplies for this design  - I used Touches of Texture, Waterfront, and Happy Wishes! I have SO many ideas using the Waterfront stamp set - you may get sick of seeing it from me in the future ;)
The SU! punch I used to create the edge of my flower panel is retired (sadly) - I wish we could bring this back! I colored my sweet little flowers using my Stampin blends and just added a few enamel dots!
Simple and easy - …

Creation Station Blog Hop - Garden Party

Image
Hello and welcome! This is a super exciting post - as I am THRILLED to be invited to  participate in the Creation Station Blog Hop! The talent is amazing and if you arrived via Tanya Bell's Blog. I am  sure she blew you away with her design this month!

If this is the 1st time you have been over to my Blog, let me introduce myself!
I live in a community of about 2000 people in Saskatchewan, Canada - and farming is the main industry in our area! We are not farmers, however - I work as a bookkeeper for a small accounting office and seasonally work at gorgeous Madge Lake Golf Resort in the Provincial Park that is just a minute down the road from me! My hard working hubby is a Public Works employee and Firefighter,  I am a proud mama to 2, and a little boy calls me "grandma" :) I have been paper crafting for over 10 years now, and it has always been "just a little hobby". Resources are hard to find locally - and I became a Stampin Up demo "just for the discoun…
