Monochromatic - Friends of Unity Blog Hop

Happy February!

Do you feel like January lasted 6 years??? Seriously?! Because I sure do!

It was brutally cold (or maybe it is just my tired old achy bones...) but honestly... I just think January is the Monday of allll the months. BRING ON FEBRUARY!

This month, the Friends of Unity are blog hopping and showcasing one design style that ALWAYS is a personal challenge... and if you came here via Eileen's blog... she ROCKED it! (You should really go check it out!)

Monochromatic always gets me  - because  (the purists say) it is only ONE color... so...shades of purples.... OR shades of reds. And keep on going.... But you can only pick one. No other colors. RULES RULES RULES.

So this is a tough one - but this time I tried to be good and stick to it.

It ain't easy being green.

Well - I tried. But that. Darn. Sentiment. Sorry.

I used some fabulous goodies from the Find Your Soul kit and layered Distress Oxide ink in Shabby Shutters,  Peeled Paint and Twisted Citron. The fern fronds were then stamped over in those same colors.
Now... I pushed the limit with the vellum layer
but it was just a small nudge.

Be sure to leave me a message so I know you stopped by!

Next stop on the hop.... Kim!

  11. Beautiful shades of spring! I love the colour, the fern stamp, and I think you get a gold star for the vellum, because it's basically almost transparent, with the green showing through it. ;)
