Friends of Unity Blog Hop - For the Guys!

Hi everyone! It's time for another Friends of Unity Blog Hop!

The month of June is bursting with things on the go around here - for me, it always seems to fly by so quickly! The weather is usually just right - not too hot, not cold/snowing...things are beginning to green up and... no bugs just yet ;) Sounds just about perfect to me!

It's also crazy busy with activity.... Graduations, Weddings...you name it! YOu also throw Father's Day in there and boom - the month is almost over and we are into FULL ON SUMMER.

This month for our Blog Hop, my friends and I are focusing on the guys - our cue is Masculine cards - and sometimes... guy cards are tough! (Or is it just me?)  Luckily, Unity has some fun and manly stamps for all the dudes in your life!

Did you check out Crystal's blog before you arrived? She wows me every month with her designs! If you want to go go back and take a peek ... go HERE!

Here is what I was busy working on for you!

My first card was designed with a young guy in mind who is "woodsy" and

Tierra Jackson's Cuddlebug Moose was perfect for his birthday card! I inked this up and colored him using Copics, and layered him up with some plaid paper and poof. Done - just like that!

This stamp is well loved, and I use it for guys young and old - they seem to love it!

Next up was this super fun graduation card! Again, I went with something simple
for this guy - I had a perfect Project Life card that was simply
layered on my kraft card base. I actually created this base awhile ago
and it was sitting in my PHD pile (you know...Projects Half Done? ) ;) lol
I played a little layering stencils and distress ink from Tim Holtz
. Finally I colored up one of Angie Blom's guys called You Did Good!
I popped it up and added a few simple embellishments.

A little fun and flirty card here with Hey Stud! This itty bitty cracked me up and I HAD to have it!

I laugh a little each time I use it!  This card is as simple as it gets, with some fun patterned paper and a retro vibe!

Finally, another kraft card and this time - I used a little bit of inspiration from
fellow blog hopper Crystal - she is the Queen of Kraft and coloring - I would
love to get that good someday! This design uses a ton of distressing
with my Tim Holtz inks - oxides including Fossilized Amber, Fired Brick,
Gathered Twigs and Tea Dye... I got it good and grungy and then colored up another
fun set from Tierra called All Cylinders - I used my Copics to add some layers
of color to this and it's ready to go to a great guy (who is still young at heart!)

Next up is Eileen - she is ready to strut her stuff this month with our cue!

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace, Love n' Ink
