Friends of Unity Blog Hop Feb 2026 - A Touch of Sass!
Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to another Friends of Unity Blog Hop!
January is FINALLY over (I swear it feels like it has 86 days!) I am glad to see it go... not only because of the long cold winter, but because February brings us a little closer to spring - it is short and sweet!
This month's blog hop isn't sweet though - it's Sassy! We are bringing the snark and sass!
Let's hop to it!
Our cue this month has tons of room for interpretation - and I decided to have fun with this... but I am starting off slow... this first sassy card is good for a giggle.
I decided to dig into my stash and use a stamp I had never inked up! (We have a little creative challenge happening this year and we are trying to "bust" our stash - more on that another time)
This grumpy fella is called Begrudged Pissy Puppy - he reminds me of the quintessential old man - complete with that hat. I inked him up and colored him with alcohol markers. I added a bit of Tim Holtz Distress ink in Old Paper to darken the background and then layered the circle over some VERY old paper from my stash. Those layers were cut using the Big Scallops and Rectangles nesting dies. The sentiment was stamped twice on 2 different colored cardstock pieces and cut using the Scalloped and Stitched Sentiment Nesting dies - I liked the white but I added a snip of the kraft as well.
Next up, a little spicier.... and a mix of old and new...
This little sassy card is a combination of sass and sweetness - I adore this new stamp from the Uniquely Unity February membership called Oopsie Daisy Bunny and he was begging to be used for a belated birthday card! I used a mix of Prismacolor pencil crayons and Zig markers to color this stamp.
Next, I dug into my "Edgy" collection of stamps from Unity - perfect for this month's cue!
The stamp set called Oh Sh*t had just the right sentiment - and these layers were all cut using the Deckle & Stitches nesting dies.
Did you spot that pattern paper? It is one of our newest paper packs, called The Soft Side of the Fence. I LOVE this paper! I actually made 3 cards with it - I need to order more!
Our Blog Hop is definitely bringing the sass this month - and if you didn't begin with Crystal's Blog ... you should definitely go back and start at the beginning - her cards are always so inspiring!
Next up on the hop is Jenni - check out her Blog here.
Thanks for stopping in - be sure to let me know you were here!
Peace, Love n' Ink
